I believe that many of you read or were literally devoured by Jules Verne’s stories such as Comet, Meteorite, Floating City or From Earth to Moon, and many others. Just few decades ago, they were considered as fantasy stories about discovering the universe.
In spite of the advancing and visible technological progress, the universe is still an undiscovered and rather unrecognized field of social and scientific research, which is one of the reasons why we decided to support the New Generation of Space Policy project. This will be a great opportunity for the professional but also for the general public to get acquainted with the current state of exploration of the universe, to introduce companies that are professionally involved in the fields of space or aviation and to bring this interesting area closer to the young generation as well.
I believe we will be able to lay the foundation of a successful and meaningful project dedicated to the universe.

The aim is to unite Europe so it no longer depends on the superpowers of USA and Russia and consequently, create a strong economic benefit for Europe and its members.

Through Space Strategy for Europe, European parties involved in the area of space will have a great opportunity to discuss and to influence developments at the highest level.
This is a rare opportunity for Slovakia to unlock the space for innovation and promote imagination. The most important factor and outcome of the conference is the future development of new industry, new contacts and potential partnerships.

In November 2016, the European Commission launched the initiative and the concept called „Space Strategy for Europe“ with the aim to give Europe and its member states autonomy in terms of defense, security and space exploration.
Great emphasis is placed on celebrating the diversity of member states and on utilising it to become stronger.
Ultimately it comes down to money, how can Europe save millions if not billions on their programs through creating the right partnerships, programs and connections in the field.
